Protecting your Home

Posted on

It’s worrying to be leaving your home empty whilst you’re away on holiday, especially if you’re going to be gone for a long period of time. Over the years we have used traditional methods to give us peace of mind that our home will be safe from intruders. These precautions can include drawing the curtains, having lights switched on (especially porch lights), putting up a ‘Beware of dog’ sign on the gate, employing a house-sitter or relying on Neighbourhood Watch.

However, there are other security measures and systems you can incorporate /install in and around your home. At Be Safe Alarms we understand how important it is to feel confident in leaving your house locked and secure when you’re away, which is why we have a fantastic range of property security systems for you to choose from. Whether you want to install small or large security measures, with Be Safe Alarms you can rest assured that they’re effective.

Why not wedge a door stop wedge alarm under the porch door or back door? As soon as the intruder tries to force the door open it sounds an alarm to let people know there is an intruder.

Top tip: Before you leave, tell your neighbours if they hearing an alarming sound coming from the house, to phone the police and inform them of a potential burglary. Just because an alarm sounds doesn’t mean the intruder will leave, it’s likely that they will, but there can always be an exception to the rule.

Other measures you can take include a motion detection alarm, which dials out a pre-set number if an intruder enters the building, a Minder Glass Guard, which is a vibration alarm that can be used to secure windows or patios or you might install a dummy CCTV camera to help deter intruders from your home.
